The most iconic landmark is located in the city of love, called Paris! It’s better known as the Eiffel Tower. It’s a symbol of romance, but also architectural ingenuity. Whether the tower is sparkling against the beautiful golden hues or against the night sky, its beauty remains timeless and admires millions of visitors a year to admire this in real life! If you want to see this magnificent architectural landmark in different angles, search no more and come with me to discover them!

The Eiffel Tower is definitely the most famous landmark in Paris and that’s rightfully so. The iron lattice tower is 330 meters tall and is the tallest structure in the city. The name is deranged from the engineer Gustave Eiffel who designed and built the tower from 1887 to 1889.
Originally was it constructed for the 1889 World’s Fair and to mark the centenary of the French Revolution. Even though some France leading artists criticized it for its design, it’s one of the most visited structures around the world.
There are a few gradations to visit the Eiffel Tower itself as there are different floors. There are three of them which you can explore: first floor, second floor and the top. The first floor is to learn more about the history as it’s full of museum installations. Here, you’ll also find a brasserie restaurant to fill your hunger. On the second floor, you’ll find a macaron bar, a buffet, shops, and a kiosk. Lastly, on the upper level, there is a Michelin restaurant, called Le Jules Verne, which is only accessible with reservations.
Paris is located in western central Europe and borders Germany, Belgium, Spain, Luxembourg, Italy and Switzerland. The United Kingdom is a sea border. As it’s pretty central in Europe and is a heavily visited capital, the city is quite easy to visit.
The roads in France are pretty good and well marked, so you can also visit Paris by car. Just know that visiting a city by car can be expensive for parking. You can also reach the city center by train as there is a station! The last option would be with a bus.
The train system is good equipped and is the most enjoyable way to travel around France! No matter the destination in the country, you will be there in no time!
Other public transportations you can take around France are buses and metros, and are mostly used in the city center.
So, traveling with public transportation can be easily done from anywhere in France, but know that it will take more time. The best is to look it up online before going to the city. Find more information about the train here and the bus here.
If you travel from outside of Paris, you can take the train or the bus. For the train, it’s best to go with the Eurostar. If you want to come with the bus, Flixbus would be the best option.
Paris can also be reached by car, but the parking around the city can be quite expensive. Also, know that Paris has environmental zone for cars and that you need a ecological sticker called Crit’Air on display.
For the best view of the Eiffel Tower and the city itself, you need to be at the Arc de Triomphe! This monument is located at the western end of the Champs-Élysées and is a memorial for those who fought and died for France in the French Revolution.
The Arc de Triomphe is open from the first of April till 30 September from 10 AM to 11 PM and from the first of October till 31 March from 10 AM to 10.30 PM. Note that the last admission is 45 minutes before closing time. The price for an adult is €16 per person. You can also visit this monument for free if your under 18 years old or between 18 and 25 and a part of the European Union.
To have some pictures with the Seine on it, you’ll have to make sure to include Pont de Bir-Hakeim! This bridge is an arch bridge that crosses the Seine and has two levels: one for motor vehicles and pedestrians and one for the metro.
Another great spot to take pictures of the Eiffel Tower is the Trocadéro. The name is derived from the Trocadéro Palace that was demolished in 1937. It’s perfect to wander around the Trocadéro, but also the gardens!
One of my all time favourite viewpoints of the Eiffel Tower is at Avenue de Camoens! It has the perfect view over the tower and is perfect for your candid pictures in Paris.
Around the streets of Paris are a few spots to take beautiful pictures of the Eiffel Tower. And one of them is Rue de L’Université! It’s very close to the Eiffel Tower itself and is very easy to find. It’s a really nice place to take pictures, even though it can be very busy here!
There are a lot of different streets with a view over the Eiffel Tower and Rue de Montessuy is one of them! It’s right next to Rue de L’Université so it’s easy to do both of them at the same time. It’s best to take pictures at the flower shop called ‘L’Howea’.
The Champs de Mars is a large public garden, right in front of the Eiffel Tower! You’ll have to wander through it to get to the entrance of the tower itself so it’s a hard one of to miss. Because I was in Paris a few months before the Olympic Games in 2024, this location wasn’t that photogenic and I sadly don’t have any pictures.
The last street you’ll get an excellent view is at Avenue de New York. It’s right next to the Seine and you’ll enjoy this view the whole time while wandering around the city!
The last great view of the Eiffel Tower is across Pont d’Iéna, which is a bridge crossing the Seine and links to the district of Trocadéro. The bridge is constructed in 1807 in order by Napoleon I as a way of overlooking the Military School. Now, it’s a really beautiful place to see the Eiffel Tower!
