Travelling around southern Germany with Indie Campers

In the beginning of January of 2024, I had the opportunity to travel around southern Germany with Indie Campers. Even though it was very cold, I still had the best time. And that’s all because this camper kept me warm and safe! Read here more about why you should rent this campervan.

My time with Indie Campers

I really love Germany as it’s a country that’s very versatile and close to my hometown. I already seen a lot of places in Germany, but never in the winter period. Even though it’s so close to home, driving in the snow or colder temperatures always stopped me from doing so. I don’t have the right equipment on my own car to drive safely in these conditions.

But not with Indie Campers! I felt so safe driving with a big campervan around these freezing temperatures (- 8°C) and freezing roads, because of the winter tyres. Another reason why I loved driving in this campervan.

Indie campers is a rental company that rents campervans around the world!  They have a lot of different campervans, but I traveled around Germany with this grey VW California Premium!

What to except of Indie Campers?

The VW California Premium is a grey Volkswagen California Ocean model from 2023. It’s a modern and fully equipped campervan which is perfect for roadtrips. The van has space for up to 4 people by one bed in the campervan and a popup roof top tent. The interior has swivel chairs that can be made into a double bed.

The kitchen is inside the campervan, which is a huge bonus for these colder temperatures. It features a small fridge, a sink and two stoves. It also includes pots, pans, glasses and cutlery so that you can easily cook for yourself.

Another great thing about this campervan is that it has drapes for every window. This makes it so dark inside, that you don’t have any problems falling asleep.

And what’s even better? The campervan has integrated heating, which runs on Diesel. If you decide to rent this campervan in the summer period, the outside of the van provides sun protection.
